From her feisty, independent spirit to her shapely legs, Brooke appeals to Curly on every level. He can’t stay away, but he’s been burned before and refuses to tie himself to a woman again. Brooke is in a similar boat, having promised herself no man would exert control over her life again. Unfortunately, she can’t kick the curly-haired, muscular man in biker boots out of her head or her bed.
As Brooke and Curly grow closer and danger strikes, will they be able to overcome their past traumas and find strength in each other? Or will they remain stubborn and stick to their guns as their lives crash and burn?
Curly is a man on a mission. He has decided he would like to start a chapter of the HHMC in his home state. Once he is given the okay he sets his plans into motion. Once arriving home he meets are very tenacious very independent heroine Brooke. These two have both been through hell and have decided that they will never be burned by the opposite sex again…… I loved watching these two skate around each other. Brookes independence was one of her best characteristics as well as being her worst. I admired it because she knew what she wanted and was not afraid to go after it. The reason it is her worst characteristic is well because… well I can not tell you or it will spoil it for you. Now Curly he was a strong hero, and all alpha when the time calls for it. He has been burned in the past and does not quite understand why the little tornado known as Brooke does not leave his mind. He also does not quite understand why he can not stay away from her as well.
Lilly Atlas does a great job weaving this story around you. You will laugh, you will cry, and you will rage with these characters. I can not wait to see what else is in store for this Florida chapter.
