Holy hell what did I just read?! I will say this book is definitely dark, twisted, and will keep you on the edge of your seat. There is mystery, suspense, and trust me when I say damn the dark elements are dark! I will also say there is a splash of paranormal sprinkled through it.
What is a woman to do when she discovers she has a stalker? Not your typical stalker either. Adeline is a successful author who lives in a home that has been in her family for a few generations. She comes a crossed some journals and gets sucked into them. Now I ma just going to quit speaking of those because if I indulge anymore I would be spoiling part of the story. “Z” is our (anti) hero who takes one look at Adeline and just knows she is the one for him. This is where the story takes a twisted turn…… No more will be said about this..
The story flows really well and definitely has some dark moments. Please read the trigger warning, because trust me when I say there are triggers. This book does end on a cliffhanger, and I am looking forward to seeing what happens next.
