Ok, so, I fell in love with J. Bengtsson’s writing approximately eleventy billion (true story, really.) years ago when Cake A Love Story was a brand new little book baby. Needless to say, I always get stupidly excited for anything Cake related…and I was extra stupid excited because Quinn.
10/10 on Quinn epicness here, folks.
J. Bengtsson does not disappoint.
J. has this unique ability to combine some seriously hard emotion with brilliant humor in a way that doesn’t just create an unputdownable read, but really brings it to life. There were moments when I was crying and laughing at the same time while reading this. The sarcasm, the emotion, the romance, the real-world honesty, the hurt, and the healing all combine to take you on a roller coaster that you’ll never want to get off of.
