New Release + Review: recovery by Nicole Dykes

Release Date: March 4

Mya

My entire world has been rocked with a loss, and I need to escape.

With nothing left to lose, I leave behind the place I grew up and the memories haunting me there.

I trust no one. Then I meet him. And he won’t stay out of my way.

Jase

I trust few. I work hard and mind my own business.

But when a friend of a friend needs help, unfortunately, I can’t seem to do that.

On the outside, she seems utterly broken. But I see that fire in her flickering under the surface.

She’s been through hell, but I’m insanely desperate to bring her back.

I know plenty about recovery, after all.

The only thing that Nicole does better than pulling at her readers’ heartstrings is delivering a all-consuming, angsty romance. With her latest novel RECOVERY she does both!

Like the title implies the main characters overcome and recover from past trauma. Their road to recovery also involves letting down their walls and letting each other in. The emotions, angst, and delicious steam that I’ve come to expect and love from Nicole’s stories was there and in spades. I teared up, I laughed, and I had to get myself a cold drink or two while reading Recovery. Definitely another winner and I can’t wait for this to be on audiobook! 5 stars.
