4.5 stars!! I enjoy a good PNR and when I seen that Sawyer Bennett was writing a brand new series I did not hesitate jumping right into this new world she has created for us. The story line is very intriguing, and I honestly can not wait for the next book because I need to know what is going to happen next.
Finley Porter is our heroine who has always felt like she was different since she has a 6th sense about certain people. Experiencing the things that she has through her life has had some worrying about her mental health. When she meets our hero Carrick Byrne he knows there is something about her, but does not know what. After they initially meet Carrick opens Finley’s eyes to just what is out there in the world. Questions arise like is he helping her or is he in it for himself.
The characters are strongly written, and even though there is talk of mental issues and suicide it is done with great care. This trope is different from what the author usually writes, but she does an amazing job writing this new world you can not help but be entranced by it.
