Kristen Ashley certainly knows how to start a series in the most jaw dropping and epic of ways. Still Standing is a book that will have you utterly captivated right from the first page and leave you wondering how on earth you’re going to ever find a book that could possibly live up to its greatness on the last page. She pushed all of my limits with this and while there were moments that in another book may have had me putting it down, with Buck and Clara it just pulled me further into their world.
Kristen Ashley has such a unique voice, and there’s honestly nothing out there that hits the way her writing does. From the vivid descriptions that bring the world of the Aces High MC to life to the depth and growth that come from nearly every character big and small Still Standing is a book that goes beyond an escape and transports you entirely into a different world filled with tough, alpha bikers and strong, kindhearted women.
I’ll tell you upfront Buck is unlike many heroes out there. He’s not an easy man, and sweet is not a label that you’d put on him but he has his own brand of sweetness that coming from a man like him makes it so much more than your average “sweet” moments.
