Not My Hero is hands down one of the greatest books I’ve read this year. A heart shattering roller coaster of emotion filled with so much hope it will have you crying nonstop tears of heartbreak and happiness. I was left with a heart that had been emptied and then filled back up with more love than I started out with. Brie and Colton are a couple that will forever live with me.
When it comes to characters these two take the cake. Brie is both fragile and stronger than she knows all at once. Everything she has been through and goes through is enough the destroy most people but she keeps fighting to survive without even realizing it. And Colton…he may be young but he is one of the greatest heroes ever. Protective, patient, understanding, gentle, the list goes on and on. He’s wise beyond his years due to his own painful past but he channels all that pain into doing something better for those he loves.
There’s not one second of this book I did not love, in my eyes this book is flawless.
