They say if you’re going to play with the big boys to make sure you play the game better than they do and that’s just the position that Phoenix finds herself in. Unfortunately for her Alaric is a master at what he does.

This couple sizzled. I loved the undeniable connection they had and expected more of an emotional tug of war that didn’t really come, but their chemistry was on point. The pace of the story started off slowly and felt slightly choppy, but gained a ton of momentum towards the end. And since it’s an Ava Harrison novel you know there’s going to to be major twists and turns to keep you flipping pages at a furious pace.

All in all this was a great, twisty read with heavy doses of sizzle. 4 stars.
