I have loved Laramie Briscoe’s books for years, but this book? This one is one of the greatest books she has ever written. Hollow is so emotionally powerful, so raw, and so brutally honest about life, love, and mental health that I’m left speechless. This book will fill you up with as much hope as it causes you to ugly cry…and boy did I ugly cry. Laramie held nothing back when it came to Mandy and Dalton. Every step of the way these characters were so beautifully flawed, perfectly capturing emotions so many of us are going through and working their way through things in a realistic and honest manner that speaks volumes on the amount of care the author took when she wrote this.
You’re not going to find only sugary sweetness between the pages of Mandy and Dalton’s story. What you’re going to find is a look at what REAL love is. You’re going to find healing. You’re going to find passion. You’re going to see these characters grow in ways that you rarely get to.
Hollow is hands down one of my favorite books of the year.
Since self-publishing her first book in May of 2013, Laramie Briscoe has published over 10 books. She’s appeared on the Top 100 Bestselling E-books Lists on iBooks, Amazon Kindle, Kobo, and Barnes & Noble. She’s been called “a very young Maya Banks” (Amazon reviewer) and her books have been accused of being “sexy, family-oriented, romances with heart”.
When she’s not writing alpha males who seriously love their women, she loves spending time with friends, reading, and marathoning shows on her DVR. Married to her high school sweetheart, Laramie lives in Bowling Green, KY with her husband (the Travel Coordinator) and a sometimes crazy cat named Beau.
