If you are looking for a dark mafia arranged marriage book then please grab a copy of Ruthless Prince. Massimo is all anti-hero you will learn to love. He knows what he wants and takes it without caring what others think. Emelia is quite naive at her young age, but is made to “grow” up in the blink of an eye. No it is not when they first meet, but happens when well you will see when it happens. When these two first meet it is definitely not love or even like at first sight. Their journey to happiness is a twisted road, and I enjoyed every dark and twisted turn it took. These two have some harsh realities thrown at them, and need to decide just what and who they want.
The storyline was really good and flowed form the most part. There were a few different times I wished the story would pick up. We are left with a few unanswered questions, but this is not a cliffy. The HEA ending is just for this couple, it is left “open” for more books in the series. I for 1 can not wait to see what the author has in store for us.
I have been on a dark romance kick lately and RUTHLESS PRINCE, an arranged marriage, enemies-to-lovers, mafia romance totally hit the spot when it came to that. It’s like Faith Summers took some of my favorite tropes, added some delicious Alpha goodness in the form of Massimo, sprinkled in a good amount of romance, and added tons and tons of passion and dark and twisted turns. Seriously, this book is all the things. The story just swept me away into Massimo and Emelia dark and vengeful world of power, honor and family and I swear didn’t want to come up for air! Thankfully the ending, despite not leaving us on a cliffhanger, does set the stage for more books in the series. Can’t wait to see where this series takes us.
