I didn’t just want this book, I freaking NEEDED it. Nothing hits quite like a Lani Lynn Vale read and May Contain Wine hits HARD. Calloway and Louis had me laughing, crying, swooning and fanning myself over and over and over again throughout their story. These two were freaking perfection. Second chances, surprising twists, epic romance, seriously great humor (that sarcasm and smarta$$ery are on point!)
I always love Lani’s heroines, but every once in a while one is just super special to me and Calloway is one of those super special ones. She’s funny, smart, sweet and freaking strong. I honestly enjoyed every second that I got to read her. Louis of course was equally as awesome. He was a man he knew what he lost and he did not give up trying to get it back. And he didn’t act like a lunatic trying to do that, so HUGE love there. Together though, WHEW! These two are all heat and sweet. When the sparks aren’t flying the heat is scorching and the sweet is enough to have you happy sighing galore.

I always know going into a Lani book that I will be swept off my feet. May Contain Wine is no different. I swooned and laughed throughout the whole book. Calloway and Louis had a rough start to their love story but it was all worth it in the end. Louis wears his heart on his sleeve and I loved seeing that. Not only is he a big alpha male with protectiveness and stubborn determination flowing through him he’s also not scared to show his feelings. He made a mistake and definitely paid for that mistake. He didn’t harbor bitter feelings, he just loved and tried to make everything right again. Calloway is such a strong woman, I loved watching her fight her attraction while still being civil. These two made for an amazing story!
Lani Lynn Vale always puts family first through her books, and I love how family oriented they all are. She truly makes you feel like you are one of the family. And to me that is priceless!
