New Release + Review: Unrequited by Julia Wolf

Unrequited by Julia Wolf is LIVE!! Don’t miss this sexy rock star romance about a curvy, badass drummer and the bassist she loves to hate. #OneClick today!

My proper southern belle mama might disagree, but I say I was born to be a rebel. From the second I got my hands on a pair of drumsticks, my future was sealed. I never fit in anyway, not with my rocker soul and curves that never take a day off.

But what’s a drummer without a band? Oh, that’s right. A cocktail waitress.

That is, until the chance of a lifetime falls into my lap—Unrequited needs a drummer, and I happen to have an ‘in’ with the band.

The only trouble is, Santiago Garza, Unrequited’s broody, scowly bassist, doesn’t want me in his band, which is kind of funny, considering he was the one who took my heart and stomped all over it five years ago.

My career is far more important than hurt feelings though, so Santiago can suck it up and deal. That’s what I’m doing, no matter how many times I remember the feel of his lips on mine. I won’t fall for him this time. I’m done being anyone’s second choice.

Britt’s 🎩🎩🎩🎩🎩 hat review:

Julia Wolf’s words are always as poetic and beautiful as the music her characters preform. Unrequited is a slow burn with romance of epic proportions. Full of extremely lovable characters, rock and roll, and a whole lot of sweet to go with a dash of angst, this book has the ability to steal anyone’s heart from “romance junkie” all the way to “never picked up a kissing book in my life”. This is just one of those stories that will resonate with countless people.
Maeve is a woman I think many people can really relate to. I know I certainly did. She owns the fact she doesn’t fit the mold of society’s standards on beauty because she knows the truth of how beautiful she really is. That isn’t to say she has no struggles, she has insecurities and vulnerabilities just like all of us, she just puts for the effort to work on loving herself and reminding herself of her worth. It was so refreshing to see a character like her who didn’t devalue themselves but chose to love who they are instead. And then there’s Santiago. This quiet man is hiding perhaps one of the largest most loving hearts I’ve ever read. It’s an understatement to say he would sacrifice anything for those he loves. He’s loyal to a fault and that’s one of the biggest hurdles he has to overcome.
These two together are a beautiful view of the magnificence of true love. It may have taken them some time to get there, but that love shines through in every step of the way.
