New Release + Double Review: Crazy Heifer by Lani Lynn Vale

The Valentine Boys #2
Release Date: February 25
I fell in love with his rope skills. I stayed because somehow he took hold of my heart and made it his.

Callum Valentine didn’t mean to eavesdrop. Then again? When a man is calling a woman fat right in front of your table, it’s kind of hard not to intervene. Especially when the town’s most beautiful creature ever is the one being called fat.

Desi just wants to be left alone. After an ugly divorce, she thinks she’s in the clear. Then her ex takes it upon himself to continue to make her life miserable, giving Desi no choice but to take it or leave.

In fact, her bags were nearly all the way packed when Callum poked his nose into the most embarrassing spectacle the town of Kilgore has ever witnessed. The moment he declares her his and off limits, everything changes—and definitely not for the better.

As if things couldn’t get worse than being called a pitiful, fat heifer in front of the hottest man she’s ever seen, Callum has to go and say that she’s his, and they have to play a game that she’s not quite sure she wants to be playing.

But before her eyes, things change. And suddenly the rules of the game aren’t clear. And they’re crossing boundaries neither one of them see coming.

Britt’s 🎩🎩🎩🎩🎩 hat review:

I’ll just be over here in the corner obsessing over Callum. Don’t mind me. Ok, but for real, how does Lani always manage to make a hero that makes all other book boyfriends look bad? What kind of voodoo magic is it that has her writing the perfection that is Callum? Can I get some and use that magic on literally any aspect of my life? Who am I kidding, I’d just use the magic to make a Callum I didn’t have to share with anyone else.
We got a little peek at the chemistry between Desi and Callum in the last book in this series but that peek does not prepare you for the full blown magnificence that these two are. I’m talking instant sizzling attraction and immediate swoony sweetness with a couple that had me fully invested from page one. There was no gradual build of me becoming more and more attached to Desi and Callum, it was an instant “OMFG I LOVE THESE CHARACTERS” when it came to them for me.
I laughed, cried, got mad and fell in love with these two on every page never wanting their story to end. Lani Lynn Vale has once again absolutely blown me away with her brilliance.

Julia’s 🎩🎩🎩🎩🎩 hat review:

Be still my heart. Crazy Heifer was such a beautiful read! I loved getting Callum and Desi’s story! These two were made for each other.

I loved Desi! She’s sassy but she’s also a bit insecure about her weight. I loved the realness of her struggles dieting. It wasn’t glossed over and it was awesome that she struggled with it as we all have. Callum is an amazing man. He has so much love to give and I’m so glad he gave it to Desi. He’s strong and protective while also building up those around him including Desi. I have loved the Valentine family, but now? I’m so in love with them I can barely see. The way the men rallied around Desi to make her feel beautiful and to help her fulfill her dream of running a Spartan Race. *sigh*

Lani Lynn Vale creates families that you want to be apart of, families that are full of love and respect for each other. The Valentine family is my absolute favorite and I can’t wait to watch the rest of these boys fall.
