BLURB:
Charlotte Waters came into my world unexpected—dirty, bruised, and broken.
No matter how much I attempted to keep my distance, curiosity grew to know her story. Under my gaze she became a woman—wild and willing to love my black heart.
I told myself to never trust men again for as long as I lived.
Being sold by your mother’s druggie boyfriend does some damage, you know? So when I meet Hawk McLean, a young man who hides his own unhappiness behind a cold veneer, I’m skeptical.
I heal. I grow.
I not only learn to trust Hawk, but I fall in love with him. And that’s a problem, because he left, coming and going in my life like the ocean tides he chased.
Will he ever see me? Or is the gap too wide for love to reach?
Feather’s is a standalone novel with an epilogue novella, Wings.
REVIEW:
Feathers is my very first story by Kylie Stewart as an author and I it completely owned my heart. The roller coaster of emotions Lottie and Hawk’s romance took me on was one filled with feels upon feels. The story has dark undertones, but at the center it’s about two people overcoming their pasts and letting love in. Add to that the slightly taboo aspect with their age gap and I was *glued* to my headphones! I adored Lottie’s resilience and her drive to not let her past define her. I rooted for her the entire time. Then we have Hawk. Swoon-worthy falls short in describing him. Gah, he’s just all the things. His care and love for Lottie had me in a never ending swoon. I just loved him and Lottie and their romance.
Narration was performed by Eric Rolon and Kylie Stewart. These are two great narrators, but EXCUSE ME, MISS! They’re also a rea life couple. Can you say CHEMISTRY?! Wow! From the steamy scenes to the all beautiful emotions, you could feel every single thing come to life. I’m excited for more from this narrating duo and Kylie Stewart as an author. 5 stars.
