Isabella-
My life irrevocably changed five years ago. My heart shattered in a million pieces. Ever since that day, I have lived a safer life, keeping those around me at arms length. Until he comes barreling back into my life. He represents everything I hate yet I cannot get him out of my mind. Are we destined to destroy each other?
Giovanni-
One night ruined my perfectly planned life. I was supposed to have the girl of my dreams for the rest of my life. Then I ruined it all. I have lived my life as a shell of myself. Never really allowing myself true happiness. That is until the first snarky insult flew from her lips. Now all I can think is that fate has given us a second chance. Can she forgive me for the mistakes of the past or are we fated to go up in flames?

Heather’s 🎩🎩🎩🎩 hat review:

We finally get Gio and Izzy’s full story. We met these two characters way back in Mafia King. We knew they had a history, and we have gotten bits and pieces throughout the other books. Their love story is one of undying love and heartbreak. I do not want to go in great detail and spill the beans, but know that I may have shed a tear or two while reading this. Giovanni wears his heart on his sleeve where Izzy is concerned. He would do anything for her, but Izzy has a hard time letting her guard down. In this book we get to see more of Izzy’s formidable attitude. I’m hoping there is more in this series, because there are a few characters I need to see how things play out for them.

Cala Riley, better known as Cala and Riley, are a pair of friends with a deep seated love of books and writing. Both Cala and Riley are happily married and each have children, Cala with the four-legged kind while Riley has a mixture of both two-legged and four. While they live apart, that does not affect their connection. They are the true definition of family. What started as an idea that quickly turned into a full-length book and a bond that will never end.
