Heather’s 🎩🎩🎩 hat review:
If you have read the other books that have come out so far in this Sinister Collection then you know that each retelling of the fairy tales are DARK. Please note this book is no different. If you do not like dark, twisted, and even a little demented then this book is not for you. However if you do enjoy a ride on the dark side then please, please, please grab yourself a copy sit back and enjoy the ride you are about to embark. My mind is still going a mile a minute trying to wrap my head around exactly what I just read.
Ok with all that being said please take what you think you know about Alice In Wonderland and throw it out the window!!!! It is a RH and although I do not have a problem with that at all, my head at times had a hard time keeping up with who, what, where, when, and how at times. With all this being said and not giving too much away this story really did intrigue me. When you read it you will understand that at times I felt like I too had fell down the rabbit hole with Ellison. Ellison’s life is anything but a fairy tale. She has some issues and deals with them in a manner she feels is right. Without saying too much more and giving anything away you really need to experience this firsthand.
Julia’s 🎩🎩🎩 hat review:
I have LOVED every Sinister Fairytale to date, this one just didn’t hit the spot. I know what the author was trying to do with the confusing dialogue, it just fell flat for me and left me going back and forth trying to figure out what just happened. Ellison started out as a badass, I loved it. Then it went from badass to nympho. The switch was so quick and instant it left me reeling.
Now while I seem to have problems with the story I did enjoy some parts of it. I loved how the whole world is dark, depraved, and basically part of Ellison. I don’t want to give too much away there. The imagery was amazing and even though some of the characters were confusing, I still enjoyed them.
Overall, you will descend into madness reading Madness. Although, for me, it didn’t hit the mark, I still enjoyed some parts of it. That ending? Mind blown.
