We all know the story.
How it ended.
He survived and conquered each task.
Became the hero of all heroes.
And in the end he became a legend.
What no one told you is that I was there. I was helping him . . . and when he ascended, I was left behind to rot.
Herakles never knew I sold my soul for his success—he didn’t need to. Had I been enough on my own, he would’ve chosen to stay.
Instead, he rose to full glory.
I was dragged straight to Hades.
Eventually, mutated.
I lost track of him for nearly three millennia, but I’ve found him.
I will kill him.
He chose to become a god; I was forced to become a nightmare.
Now it’s time for us to meet again.
I abandoned my family mere moments before the Greek pantheon fell.
‘Till this day the whispers accuse me.
Had I been there, perhaps they could’ve been saved.
But I no longer gave a fuck.
Funny how vanity can blind a male to what really matters.
It took less than a year on Olympus before I began searching for her again.
I never found her.
Now, two-in-a-half-thousand years later, here I am.
An immortal ghost, simply getting by.
I should’ve never left her.
The only thing I had was hoping the last of her mortal days, wherever she ended up, were happy . . .
Joke’s on me.
A darkened, twisted version of my female returns, demanding my head for every one of my sins.
And she shall have it.
But first, I’m saving her from her curse.
I’ll sacrifice every ounce of my sanity left to free her . . . right before I let her end me once and for all.

Julia’s 🎩🎩🎩🎩🎩 hat review:

I have been obsessed with this series since the first book. I love anything to do with mythology and I absolutely adore how Ms. Blanco blends old myth with something completely original. She breathes fresh life onto the tales of old.

Once again I’m swept up in this world but with Kles and Meg. Both have a sordid history with each other, yet both can’t take away the feelings they once shared. Meg is strong, she has to be. She’s lived through so many horrid and painful experiences. Yet now she is an amazing woman and warrior. She fears nothing. She is a complete badass. Kles has lived his immortal life in pain and regret. One wrong choice set forth horrible consequences he never expected. Now he has a chance to right those mistakes. He has a chance to become what he never thought and still seek forgiveness.

Meg and Kles broke my heart. So much pain. So much regret. So much hatred. Yet they were made for each other. Literally. I can only hope to get more of their story, I really need to find out what happens next with them!

Heather’s 🎩🎩🎩🎩 hat review:

This series just keeps getting better and better and is aptly named Sinister Fairytales….
This book is no way a fairytale. It is dark, raw, vicious, bloodthirsty, ruthless, and well you get the picture. This twisted fairytale is about Herakles or Kles and Megara or Meg. Without giving too much away In this story Kles does the one thing he swore he would never do. Meg being the woman scorned has scoured the Earth for thousands of years in hopes of extracting her revenge. When she thinks she is going to get to do just that Hades decides to throw the proverbial wrench into her plans. As the two of them work together lines start to blur. The question is does Meg extract her revenge, OR does she give into the carnal need the two of these souls share??? This is no way full of hearts and flowers where these two are concerned. However if you enjoy a dark and twisted story just as much as I do then you will truly relish in this book.
