FIVE 🎩🎩🎩🎩🎩 hats from Julia!
Stop what you are doing and pick up Bedhead NOW! Seriously the most sweet and swoonworthy book ever. Can people melt into a puddle? I think I’m melting into a puddle of ooey gooey sweetness. Everything about this book I loved. The characters, the banter, the writing. Literally everything.
Quinn is such a sweet woman. She’s kind, caring, and so vulnerable. She has a lot of body insecurities, but knowing and meeting the right friends and man gave her the much needed security that she needed. Cooke. WHERE CAN I FIND A COOKE?!? Everything about him is sexy, sweet, and lovely. He’s not a typical jock. His heart is full of love. These two gave each other what they needed. For Quinn it was realizing she is beautiful and not a doormat. For Cooke it was letting him see that he is worth more than dollar signs.
I’m completely in love with Bedhead, if I could give it more than 5 stars I would. Everything about this book pulls you in and doesn’t let go. Bedhead will be a book I read over and over again.
FOUR 🎩🎩🎩🎩 hats from Britt!
Whew what a ride! Bedhead is equal parts cute and sweet, but maaaaaan the drama! I really did have fun reading this. Quinn was pretty dang lovable and Cooke was all kinds of sweet and hot. But occasionally the self deprecation and obliviousness of Quinn made me want to scream a little.
Like I said, I really did like her but as a plus size woman the constant weight barbs get old. Even when they’re being hurdled by the person themselves. Self esteem is such a fragile thing and varies so greatly person to person that it usually doesn’t get to me, but it was frequent enough with Quinn I just wanted to shake her at times. That said she grows SO MUCH throughout this that it made it all worth it. Seeing her confidence grow as her and Cooke fall in love in quite unique circumstances was fantastic!
