New Release + Double Review: Make Me by Lani Lynn Vale

Royal St. James got her name when she was born. Not because
her mother loved her royally, but because Royal was a giant pain in the ass.
She’s spent her entire life fighting to live, and the last thing she needs is
to deal with some pretty-boy police officer who wouldn’t know a hardship if it
came up and bit him in the…you know.

Justice Rector wasn’t born with a silver spoon in his mouth.
He was raised to work hard and always fight for what he believed in. His father
was a cop, and ever since he could remember, he wanted to be one, too.

It was a complete coincidence that he ends up going
undercover and meeting Royal St. James. It was just one day, a single moment in
time. All routine.

Just do the buy, make the bust, and get out.

But Royal St. James, aptly named, screws everything up.

Royally.

All of a sudden, he has a decision to make: blow his cover
and save the girl, or save himself.

Of course, he does the most stupid thing possible.

By saving the girl who most assuredly did not want to be
saved.

Julia’s 🎩🎩🎩🎩🎩 hat review:

Can I just sit here and bask in the happiness and flutters in my tummy that LLV’s writing just left me? Like I think my chest is tight from feelings. I hate feelings. But I love Make Me.

Justice is his daddy. Loki cloned himself and Justice is the result. Like no shit. Seeing as how I flove Loki, I am 100% ok with his son being a clone. Justice is super protective, super sexy, super diligent, and super romantic. He is perfect. Royal was a pleasant surprise and fit Justice well. Royal is snarky, witty, sweet, and kickass. She had to be dealing with the people she grew up with. These two are #couplegoals.

Yet again I’m swept away by LLV’s writing. Ignoring family, time, and work just to get more words.

Britt’s 🎩🎩🎩🎩🎩 hat review:

I’m completely in love with Justice. Shut up and stop judging me for saying I’m in love with every hero Lani Lynn Vale writes. I can’t help it. It’s out my my hands. Really, you should blame her for making such irresistible men. Make Me is one of those books that puts you through the wringer. Not in the nonstop ugly cry way, but in that hit you in the feels over and over in myriad of different emotions kind of way. I’m not exaggerating when I say I laughed, I raged, I swooned and I teared up. I did all that and more while reading Royal and Justice’s story.
First of all Royal is amazeballs. She’s got that signature sass that I love from Lani’s heroines but on top of that she’s also one heck of a strong woman with a big heart. To say her family life and past has been heartbreaking is an understatement. Thy doesn’t stop her from being an genuine loving person for even a second though. Then Justice. Sweet, sexy, steal my heart in 2.5 seconds Justice. Coming in and showing Royal exactly what it is to be loved I swear I had hearts in my eyes constantly because of that man.
