Review

Britt’s 🎩🎩🎩🎩🎩 hat review:

Single. Parent. Anthology. Need I say more?! I honest to god squealed when I first saw the And Then There Was You anthology. With so many authors I’ve read and loved and the new to me authors I could discover and all bringing my favorite trope into one giant book this may be the first anthology I reread over and over. Each story is fantastic, each author’s distinct style and voice shine brightly. It’s like a book binge in one beautiful package!
Here’s a short list of my personal standout favorites in here:
Chester by Esther E. Schmidt
So. Dang. Sweet. Full of instalove and adorable sweetness Chester is the perfect way to start off this anthology. Esther E. Schmidt delivers a quick but filling story with this one that leaves you more than satisfied! I honestly can’t even pick what I loved more how quickly Chester fell head over heels for Serenity’s daughter or how hard and fast he fell for Serenity herself!

Ripple Effect by Evan Grace
Wow! What an emotional roller coaster! Ripley and Brock’s story is full of emotional second chances, adorable sweetness, jaw dropping shocks and a lot of happy sighing romantic goodness.

Heartbreaker by Anna Brooks
A reread favorite for me! A snippet from my full review: Overflowing with sweetness and still packing plenty of heat Ryan and Opal’s story was off the charts good. When I wasn’t swooning over how much ryan adored Opal, I was melting at how precious he was with her daughter.

Whispered Prayers of a Girl by Alex Grayson
This is another reread and one of my all time favorite books!
A snippet from my full review: I was moved by more than just the beauty of Alexander and Gwen healing and falling in love, the healing and love between Alexander and Gwen’s daughter Kelsey was unbelievably amazing all on its own. To read about this gruff strong man care so deeply for a broken child and help her to heal, while she helped him was something that will forever stick with me. This book will have you going through an entire box of tissues, and it’s totally worth it.

Wicked Truths by L.A. Cotton
Full of angst and a bit of drama that L.A. Cotton writes masterfully, Wicked Truths is a wonderful fast paced second chance between two best friends. I really adored Vinnie and Maggie, I just wish we had a more in depth view of them resolving their issues. I was thrilled with their epilogue though!

When Hope Ends by Freya Barker
THIS BOOK DESERVES ALL THE FREAKING STARS!
Seriously. This one is amazing. It’s heartbreakingly beautiful. It will move you in ways you don’t even realize. It will fill your heart to bursting. It will make you cry. When Hope Ends is a flat out phenomenal read. Both Mika and Jude are such incredible characters and their story is filled with so much raw emotion. This is by far one of the best books I have read this year.

Boss of me by Angel Devlin
Adorable and funny Boss of me had me giggling and had my heart melting. Broody boss Jude was no match for a matchmaking mother and his sassy daughter when it came to his assistant Pippa. And Pippa herself was too cute for words!

Ari’s  🎩🎩🎩🎩🎩 hat review:

I thought I had died and gone to my happy place when I saw the blurb for a single parent anthology. One book and 14 different authors/stories about single parents?! Yes, please! Each author brings their original style to this wonderful collection of stories that will make any romance lover happy. Perfect for quick reads from authors you already love to new ones you’ll be falling in love with. Here some of my favorites:

Back to Life by Dani Rene was a freaking year jerker! There was no holding back the tears with this story. Emotional and heartfelt, this story just hit me hard in the feels. Both MCs are single parents and absolute giving their all for their kids. Seeing them finally find love was both heart aching and beautiful, but totally worth it. 5 stars.

Heartbreaker by Anna Brooks was amazing. This single parent story was anything, but cookie-cutter story and HEA. The main characters both have to fight hard for their happy ending. Opal and Ryan’s story is bold, tough, and raw and so freaking amazing. Ryan was the perfect hero with his patience and willingness to let Opal figure things out and come to him. The connection and chemistry was electric between the MCs and I will definitely be searching for more from this author. 5 stars.

Resisting Rayne by HL Nighbor was the ultimate quick, romantic read. Travis and Rayne’s chemistry was scorching. You could feel the sizzle and hear the hum from a mile away! This story had an insta-lust kind of vibe and that’s something that I love. I adore stories where the connection between the mIn characters is palpable and I can see the HEA coming from a mile away. 5 stars.
