Let the book hangover begin. Lani Lynn Vale took a bar that was already set sky high, laughed at it and leaped 100 feet higher with I’d Rather Not. She’s knocked all my favorite book boyfriends to the side a firmly planted Pace as number one king of Book boyfriends. She went and shoved all my favorite heroines to the ground and put Oakley in the number one spot there too. What I’m saying here is this is my number one favorite Lani book ever. (It hurt less than I thought it would saying that BTW)
Saying Oakley and Pace are sweet is the understatement of the century. They’re like a giant cupcake with a a mountain of frosting, covered in sprinkles and topped with cotton candy. I legitimately cried over how sweet they were. Especially Pace. The love he has for Oakley shines from the pages of this book before they even meet. Then it just continues to grow into one of the most selfless and beautiful loves I have ever read.
This book is an absolute must read!

Sooo….I think LLV outdid herself with I’d Rather Not. Pace? Oh my word! Pace is the MOST sweetest guy she’s ever written. I guess it’s only fair for Pace to take Trance’s spot on my number one list since he’s with Oakley now.

My heart was ripped in pieces during the first few chapters. I couldn’t believe the pain Oakley and Pace had to go through. Pace used that pain to help him be an even better man who take nothing for granted. Oakley reminds me so much of her mother. Oakley made me laugh and cry. Sometimes at the same time. I can’t see a better couple than these two.

LLV broke my heart, then she put a pretty red bow on it when she fixed it. Couldn’t ask for a better book about one of my favorite couples kids! One of the best books I’ve ever read from her, with some of the most sweet, breathtaking love you’ve only ever dreamed about.
