Moth To A Flame by Cambria Hebert
Genre: Romantic Suspense
The only thing drawn to her more than danger is him…
Danger isn’t Zoey’s middle name. But it is something she can’t forget, something she’s reminded of every time she looks in the mirror. For those reasons, Zoey has become an expert at creating the perfect illusion. Her ability to fool the eye, to create truth where there was previously none makes her the best in the business.
Working as a makeup and special effects artist for Hollywood combines her two life must-haves: her passion for makeup and hiding in plain sight.
It also doesn’t hurt that she’s safe within the heavily secured and secret studio sets, away from the public eye.
Then her perfect job becomes her perfect nightmare.
Not only does her illusion slip with the blast of icy water, but it does so in front of the country’s biggest action hero and the gossipiest of celebrity TV shows.
At first, Zoey thinks danger hasn’t caught up to her and the worst thing about her mishap is the world’s most perfect man sees her in all her not-so-perfect glory.
Until a series of unexplained “accidents” begins on set.
That’s when Zoey knows.
Danger has caught up to her… and this time she fears death has, too.
Julia’s 🎩🎩🎩🎩🎩 hat review:
Cambria Hebert completely stole my heart. Again.
Edge of your seat heartpounding suspense ✔️
A swoony deliciously sweet man ✔
A heroine you can connect to more than any other ✔
Breathtaking romance ✔
Let’s put the romance aside for a second. The suspense easily had me gripped so tight that I jumped 10 feet when the dogs barked. The clever way that the seeds were planted was skillfully done. The romance had me side eyeing the husband wondering why he couldn’t be Nick. Nick loves with everything he has. It was beautiful to watch how gentle and sweet he could be with Zoey, and how hard and protective he could be with threats to her. Zoey is a survivor. I know she doesn’t see herself that way, but she is. It may have taken her a long time and a Hollywood It guy to make her live again, but who could blame her? What Zoey lived through was beyond horrific.
Cambria Hebert is one of my favorite writers. That’s no secret. She puts so much heart and passion in each book that you can’t help but love it. Moth To A Flame is a perfect example. The writing is perfect. The characters are relatable and so real. The suspense is heart stopping. The romance is breathtaking.
Britt’s 🎩🎩🎩🎩🎩 hat review:
I don’t even know where to begin. Cambria Hebert is one of those authors who’s able to write so many drastically different stories yet still leave you with the same overwhelmingly wonderful feelings. Her talent with words knows no boundaries. Moth to a Flame is filled with gripping suspense, heartbreaking emotion and an absolutely breathtaking love story. Saying I was glued to the pages is an understatement. I was entirely captivated by this book.
The mystery surrounding things, the feeling of being on edge as things began to unravel, the strength of the characters, the love that exists between Nick and Zoey. Every aspect of this book is just so mesmerizing.
