considering who she is. But nobody warned Tinsley Sullivan we’d be doing
everything in our power to make her high school experience one of the most
horrible times of her life.
They all follow my lead… Except for her.
cruel desires. Except I’ll never stop pushing for more. I’m ready to make her
life so miserable, she’ll be begging me to stop hurting her.
I love a good bully romance because I’m a sucker for the angst, forbidden romance aspect, and loads of yummy drama. So when I read the blurb for Boys That Tease by Betti Rosewood, I knew I wanted it on my kindle STAT!
This story didn’t quite go the way I thought it would. Crispin wasn’t the loathsome bully I thought and hoped he’d be. He was just so wishy-washy in his bully ways. I wished he was meaner and a lot more cunning. It made it hard for me to like him, but the boy grows on you! Tinsley was the innocent heroine set out to be ruined by the hero…kind of. She’s so, so naive it sometimes hurt. Both characters tend to be a bit flat and never fully come to life. BUT these two did have chemistry for daysssss! Their steam factor was high. Their push and pull attraction was everything I could have hoped for and of course there was so much angst! It hurt so good. Gah, I’m a monster! lol.
Boys That Tease ended up being a good read despite some of the issues I had with it. Now the wait is on for the next book and more delicious angst. 3 stars.
Rosewood is a romance junkie and cat enthusiast in her late twenties. She lives
in a picturesque European country with her partner, 2 rowdy cats and a friendly
Lab Retriever. When not writing damaged alphas, she can most likely be found
binging TV shows and movies, and always jotting down new book ideas.
