New Release + Double Review: Keep It Classy by Lani Lynn Vale

Ghosts are real.

Well, technically speaking, maybe not. But the ones that haunt a man’s soul? Those are very real. So real, in fact, that there are times when Castiel would rather silence them forever in the worst way possible than to go on living with them haunting his every step.

All it took was one single second in time for his attention to drift, and everything changed.

Life as he once knew it, is over.

Now he’s struggling to make sense of the pieces that are left, and he’s fairly sure at least half of them are missing.

He’s living for three things now.

His club—the Bear Bottom Guardians.

His work as a police officer for Bear Bottom Police Department.

And the occasional glimpse of a girl that makes his spirit feel free.

Despite the ghosts that haunt him, he’s not willing to present them with another target. Which is why he has to stay away from her. He can’t touch her. He can’t talk to her. He can’t get anywhere near her.

Not and live with himself afterward.

The only problem is, Turner doesn’t care what Castiel wants. She also has a solution for his ghosts.

You may call her Ms. Ghostbuster.

Britt’s 🎩🎩🎩🎩🎩 hat review:

As an author who’s writing has kept me addicted to each and every book for years I’ve falling in love with many MANY character’s from Lani Lynn Vale. Every once and a while though there’s one that really work their way into a special place in my heart and becomes a favorite of favorites, and this time that character is Turner. Keep it Classy has everything I love from Lani’s writing. The hilarious pee your pants humor, the down to earth relatability in characters that are written so realistically, and the seriously wonderful romance with a perfect amount of steam are all present making this book a must read but Turner takes everything to the next level.
I didn’t just relate to Turner, I FELT her. The things she went through growing up, the struggles she experienced even still, the emotions she felt when life hit her the hardest. All of it hit me right in that place in my heart of what I’ve been through and brought her fully to life for me. Then there’s Castiel. *sigh* he’s so freaking perfect. Even jerk Castiel had me smiling because the back and forth between him and Turner was not only hilarious at times it was also filled with so many sparks you could practically feel the chemistry between them.

Julia’s 🎩🎩🎩🎩🎩 hat review:

Keep It Classy broke me in only the way LLV can break me. I cried so hard I had snot running down my face, I laughed so hard I had a belly ache, I loved so hard my heart is full. Castiel and Turner hate each other, yet they can’t help but be drawn to each other. When Turner’s heart gets shattered, Castiel is there to pick up the pieces. There is always a fine line between hate and love.

Turner is a hoot. She is so funny and so strong. I love everything about her. I’ve been her. I went through the same thing she did just a year ago, and have had her role of having to keep everything and everyone together and be strong for others when all you want to do is cry. I have never felt more connected to a character as I did Turner. Castiel has a few hang ups that he quickly gets rid of. He can’t help falling in love with Turner, despite his misgivings. Castiel was handed a shit marriage before, it made him jaded. Luckily Turner came around and he was right where he needed to be.

This will probably become my top favorite from LLV. Mainly because I felt everything Turner felt. I knew exactly what she was going through. Between the characters, the banter, the romance, and the grief I was pulled in and couldn’t put my kindle down for a second!
