Series: Burns Brothers #1
Bad@ss Builds where the motorcycles are as sexy as the brothers building them.
wasn’t real the first time I saw her. To be fair I was a hungover mess when I
woke up and looked into her gorgeous eyes. After getting the second worst news
of my life—that my father would be paroled soon—I’d escaped to my buddy’s posh
cabin near Lake Tahoe. Now the maid with the gorgeous eyes is snowed in with
me, and I wonder if she might be a better distraction than the mountain of
booze I’d planned on drinking. She’s curvy in all the right places, and the
snow is falling faster.
don’t have time for men, especially irresponsible tattooed bad boys like my ex.
But Austin is hot. And sexy. And stuck here in the cabin with me. I can’t say
no to a fling with this bad boy, especially since Austin is so gorgeous and
two, and I don’t know if I can risk my heart—and my little boy’s—if Austin
wants it to become more when we get through the snow and back to reality.
Britt’s 🎩🎩🎩🎩 hat review:
What do you get when you mix a sexy, broody, alpha with a kind, loving, single mother? You get Build. Austin and Rachel have immediate sparks the second they meet and that chemistry grows to be explosive the longer they’re together. Full of some fantastic steam and a dash of sweetness to go with the drama this one is hard to put down.
This could have been easily five stars for me, but occasionally the constant fighting between Austin and his brothers felt forced and unnecessary. It took away from Austin and Rachel’s story more than added to it. Outside of the constant brawls however the romance between these two is wonderful. Austin is night and day different when it comes to not only Rachel but also her precious son. He’s gentle and sweet when it comes to those two and that’s what really made me love him.
These two have quite the emotional ride to their happiness that will have you hooked and dying for what is coming on each page.
Heather’s 🎩🎩🎩🎩 hat review:
This story is about Austin a alpha-hole who has his own baggage and tends not to deal with it. He and his brothers own and operate a custom build shop and tend to work out their differences with their fist instead of their words. He receives some rather unsettling news and takes off to friends cabin to “deal” with it while drinking himself into a drunken stupor.
Enter Rachel a young insecure woman. She is a single parent who works 2 jobs to support her son and mother. She ends up showing up to the cabin as her last job of the day. Upon her arrival she discovers Austin there. While she is working Mother Nature intervenes and decides to drop a few feet of snow.
Their meeting is less than ideal, but they both decide to make the best of the situation. The banter between the 2 keeps the story flowing really well. Austin is a commitment phobe and is not looking for anything serious. However, the young and beautiful Rachel makes him feel and think that maybe he can see himself change his ways. Rachel decides she would like to give them a shot, but is leery because she has been burned in the past. Their love is not instantaneous or easy. They both face some harsh realities and need to decide if it is worth it. Yes the families did intervene, but hey sometimes you need the help of your loved ones to get you to see what you could be missing out on.
I really did enjoy the story, but there are a few questions that did not get answered that I am hoping get answered in future books. The secondary characters were fun and witty and I can not wait to see how everybody else’s stories unravel. I’m especially looking forward to seeing just how the brothers get knocked on there asses by whatever females catch not only there eyes, but hearts as well.
Julia’s 🎩🎩🎩🎩 hat review:
While busting her butt at one of her jobs, Rachel loses track of time and gets snowed in with the incredible Austin. These two have a magical weekend that neither wants to end even though everything around them screams for it too.
At first Austin seems gruff and unapproachable, but once you get to know the real him you realize he’s a huge marshmallow with a ton of things trying to weigh him down. While Rachel has a lot on her plate, she still seems to be able to compartmentalize things and make ends meet while raising her son.
Build is such a sexy story, you will have problems putting it down for a second! I loved these two and can’t wait for more of these brothers!
up the pile of mats when a scraping sound caught my attention. Raising the
blinds, I looked out the window and saw Rachel standing in the middle of the
road, shovel in hand, pushing the snow into big piles. She’d got about ten feet
of road cleared in addition to her car.

was miles of road!
bitch.” I ran out of the room. Three steps later, I almost tripped over Blue in
the hallway. He’d taken up a post between me and the doorway, almost like he
couldn’t decide who he should be guarding. “Hey, boy. You okay?”

think we gotta talk some sense in her. She can’t plow the fucking road all by
herself. Come on.” I grabbed my coat next to the door and pulled it on over my
naked chest. My shirt was balled up somewhere in Cole’s home gym. I shoved my
bare feet into my boots next to the door and half-assedly laced them up. Blue
whined next to me, urging me to hurry. I ripped open the door, and Blue bounded
out, with me close on his heels.
hell are you doing, woman!” I shouted before I met up with Rachel.

like you’re fucking insane. You do know there’s like five miles of road between
us and the highway, right? Are you planning on plowing the whole fucking thing

“I can’t just sit here and wait for someone to call or show up. I have people
waiting on me—my family is counting on me.”
I don’t know that? You think the same fucking thing isn’t happening to me right
now? I was supposed to be at work today too. Our scariest fucking client is
expecting a bike delivery today, and
I’m not gonna be there to stand between him and my brother. That’s my job!
That’s what I’ve done my whole life, and today I’m not gonna be there. I won’t
be there to protect him.”

sorry, okay?” I reached over and gently took the snow shovel out of her hands.
“We all have shit—that’s all I’m saying. Well, that, and there’s no way either
of us is going to be able to dig our way out of this mess. There’s too much
road between us and the highway. It’s dangerous. We’re better off waiting until
the plow comes. I don’t know where the hell Cole’s business manager is, but he
still hasn’t called me back. If you’d like, I can call around and see if I can
find another service.”

I can’t afford it, but I’m worried about the weather. There’s supposed to be
another system moving in this afternoon. If we can’t get out of here by noon, I
doubt you’ll find another outfit willing to come out in the middle of another
storm. We could be trapped here overnight again.”
