New Release & Triple Review: Crucible by Natalie Bennett

Title: Crucible
Author: Natalie Bennett
Genre: Dark Romantic Suspense
Release Date: January 10, 2019
Raelynn Davenport.
An elusive beauty queen with a sordid past.
The Blackwoods.
A prominent family with a graveyard full of tortured skeletons.
The plan couldn’t have been simpler.
All I had to do was swap my big city life and tarnished reputation for a fresh start in a small town. Catching the immediate attention of said town’s heartthrobs was nowhere on my agenda.
Unapologetic about their true intentions, I find myself in the center of a game that has no concept of moral aptitude.
All I wanted was peace.
All they crave is madness.
And in this game, losing isn’t an option.
Not when we’re playing for my life.
Prelude to Affliction
Julia’s 🎩🎩🎩🎩🎩 hat review:
Somehow Natalie Bennett just keeps me enraptured with every book she writes. Crucible being no different. Rae running from a past she hopes she can escape. Small town. Secrets. Not everything is as it seems. When Rae meets Jace and Kaiden, her little world gets turned upside down.

Natalie Bennett makes me want a dark and deviant man. Makes me crave it. She does dark and twisted so well you forget everything around you. Rae is pretty awesome, her kick ass retro look and attitude is refreshing. The twins, Jace and Kaiden, personalities seem so similar but you learn quickly how different they are. They have the same goal, Rae, and I can’t wait to see how they go about getting her.

Let’s play a game.

Heather’s 🎩🎩🎩🎩🎩 hat review:
HOLY HELL!!! What a prequel to a series I’m sure I am going to love. If you are looking for a sweet read filled with hearts, flowers, and love you need to keep on scrolling. As the author puts at the beginning of the book this book does not contain any hearts and flowers. This is only my 2nd book by this author and I do believe I am becoming addicted to her writing.

Now for my review:: The book starts out with our heroine Raelynn in desperate need of change of scenery. I will not go into the details to the reason why as I am a believer that you need to read to find them out for yourself. She finds herself in a quaint little town in hopes to find some peace and quiet. Just when she thinks she may actually have found that she finds out she might be wrong.

Enter the twins and their merry band of misfits. The twins are like 2 sides to the same coin. On 1 hand 1 is very laid back(or so it seems) while the other is very intense. They come from one of the most prominent families in town. Lets just say some feel as if they are untouchable. They like to play games and the games they like to play are far from a family game night. They like to stack the deck in a matter of speaking, because losing is not an option for them. I do believe they have met their match in more ways than one where Rae is concerned. She is not the yes girl so to speak. She has a mind of her own and is not afraid to speak it.

I am so looking forward to see just how all of this plays out. I am sitting here (im)patiently waiting for the next installment to this series. I will say the author has a way with her writing style that pulls in from the beginning to the end. You will be sitting on the edge of your seat as you read turning the pages just to see what is going to happen next.

Misty’s 🎩🎩🎩🎩🎩 review:
Holy Hell, Natalie has done it again! This book is not filled with Sunshine, rainbows and happy endings. Its filled with Dark, twisted suspense that will leave you breathless and wanting more.
This is a Prequel to a brand new series. It gives you a glimpse into a brand new family and Rae.
The family, the Blackwoods, have many secrets that this book just barely gives you a small peak into their twisted world in this small town. The brothers, Jace and Kaiden, are freaking hot as hell and so very twisted. I can’t wait to see what games they have planned. Rae is the heroine, she appears to be a strong and bold chic, that can handle her own. She went to this town to escape her past but stumbled upon these brothers. She let a dream come true, so to say…which may have been a huge mistake.

To say I’m patiently waiting for the next book, is understatement. I can’t wait for more dark secrets to unfold in this new series.

Natalie Bennett is the creator of erotic stories that always come with a warning label. She writes about depraved alpha a**holes and women that love to hate them. Her books don’t follow any specific tropes, have no set word counts, and tend to deviate from traditional HEA’s.
When she isn’t in front of her computer she’s spending time with her husband and their three little boys.
Natalie is an avid fan of caramel frappes, horror movies, Shameless, and of course, reading.
