Laramie Briscoe successfully stole my heart again! Gah! I swear no one writes heroes quite as perfectly as she does. Ransom is everything I’ve come to love from her men and more! All that magnificent, sexy officer goodness combined with major swoon and of course deep family roots full of characters I love made this book unputdownable for me! I’m talking I did not budge once after I started reading until I’d reached the end. I’m not sure I blinked.

Ransom and Stella are best friends and have been their entire lives, but as they’ve both grown up Ransom has felt more than friendship for her. With Stella finally catching on to the fact her best friend is also deliciously sexy the sparks between them start to ignite. These two were both heartwarmingly sweet and so hot they set the pages on fire. That combination held me captivated start to finish.

FIVE 🎩🎩🎩🎩🎩 hats from Heather!

5 swoon worthy stars!! Where do I begin with this review??? This book picks up a few years down the road from where Cruise leaves off. The major difference is ALL of the MTF children have all grown up.

Ransom is a sweet alpha man who knows what he wants and how he wants it. He decided he wanted to take after his dad and became an officer of the law. The only difference is he is the K-9 officer and his partner is in my mind cute and cuddly Rambo. You will understand why I say that while reading this book.

Stella has grown up and is working in the medical field. Stella dreams of something a little bit more and Ransom is there to support her decision. She is a strong sassy heroine that is independent and perfect for Ransom. Let’s face it these two have known each other since birth.

When he and Stella decide to give it a go they decide to keep it just between them. They are afraid of it doesn’t work out their friends would feel the need to choose sides. Now don’t get me wrong there are a chosen few who know about them, but not the ones who should like their parents. There is some drama that I’m not gonna lie I almost threw my kindle, because I thought my heart was gonna get broken.

I feel the writing flowed and I felt connected to the characters. I am so looking forward to seeing how everybody else fails in the game of love.
