when the devil has you in his sights?
You show him that you can play his game.
Austin Lowes is new to town. She’s running from a mom who hates her to her dad
who cares nothing about her. Only a few months and she will be free, or at
least, that’s what she hopes … until she meets him.
Cole Reynolds is the devil disguised as a man. He wants her fear, he wants her
blood, and he wants her soul.
Just a little game, he says, I dare you.
Will Austin survive him, or will she lose herself and the game?
Secrets are revealed and justice will be served, but at what cost?
Who survives and who doesn’t?
Oh my word. I have no idea how to put into words how utterly amazing this book is. I already knew by looking at the cover that this book would break me. I wasn’t wrong. I Dare You keeps you on the edge THE ENTIRE TIME! It will shock you. It will break you. It will feck you up. Then it will put you all back together again nicely with a single black bow. I don’t even think you need a summary of this book. I think you just need to read it. Cole had me wrapped up so tightly around his finger. With one sentence he had me addicted to him, “I like to take pretty, innocent things and destroy them.”. Cole is a high I want to experience again and again. Austin, damn girl. I don’t think I’ve ever had a bigger crush on a girl as I do her. She’s fierce, she’s broken, she’s mischievous, she’s strong, she’s far from perfect, she’s fecking real.
As you can maybe see, I more than loved this book. The dark aspects drew me in. The vulnerabilities drew me in. Hell, the prologue had me hooked. Never before have truer words been spoken, don’t scoff we’ve all thought the same things before. Shantel Tessier’s writing had me hypnotized. The characters blew me away. The secrets, the lies, every single thing about this book kept me stuck to my kindle way past my bedtime. If I could give this more than five stars I would!
I dare you to read this.
All I can say is WOW!!! Besides loving this cover I ABSOLUTELY loved this book! This is a must read for anyone who likes to read books that have you on the edge of your seat. I could not put this book down was absolutely captivating. If you do not like dark and twisted reads then this book is not for you. This book is definitely not about a sweet and innocent girl and the town bad boy there is so much more to it then that. The secrets and the lies that get woven together will have you guessing until the end.
Austin is the new girl to town and on her first night in a new town she witnesses something she shouldn’t have. Cole is one of the bad boys in town. He comes from money and does and says what ever he wants. Their accidental meeting changes both of their lives beyond what either of them can comprehend. Austin is so not what Cole thinks and throws curveballs at him through out the story. She definitely knows how to keep them on all their toes.
I will say in the beginning I wasn’t sure how I was going to feel since these characters are in high school. I honestly didn’t think I would be able to wrap my head around teenagers doing the things that happen in the story. The author sure knows how to tell a story that you completely forget that you are reading about teenagers. This is my first story by the author and it will not be my last. she knows how to tell a story and to pull you in right from the beginning.
ever been to a funeral where the preacher stands before the friends and loved
ones of the deceased and talks about how shitty the person was? How he fucked
around on his wife? Or spent his family’s life savings to feed his gambling
addiction? How about during his bachelor party when he snorted coke off a
that we’re fucking saints the moment we die?
the preacher say things like, “Oh, John
Smith was a lovely man who loved his wife and kids,” when he should really
be saying, “John Smith was a worthless
piece of shit who fucked the underage babysitter every chance he fucking got
while his wife was busy working two jobs and raising his ungrateful children.”
not forget that the deceased in that casket before you never even went to
church. Let alone knew the preacher who speaks so highly of him. All he knows
are the stories the blinded loved ones wrote down on a little card for him to
read the Bible word for word, but I know the Lord says if we confess our sins
and ask for forgiveness, he will cleanse our souls, and we will be forgiven.
begs the question–what if you’re not sorry? What if you don’t care to be
of holy water could cleanse my soul, and I’m okay with that because when I
sinned, I understood that I would one day have to pay. We’re all going to die
eventually. You can be one of those people who bury your head in the sand to
avoid talking about it all you want, but it’s life!
and white. There are no gray areas.
… when you’re lying in that casket in front of your friends and family, what
are they going to think of you? Are they gonna believe that preacher who talks
bullshit, or are they gonna know you didn’t care if you were going to burn for
religious person. Obviously. But I do know this. When I am damned to hell,
it’ll be because I fucking earned it.
school sweetheart, who is a wonderful, supportive husband and their two

of her favorite things to do. She hates coffee, but loves wine. She and her
husband are both huge football fans, college and NFL. And she has to feed her
high heel addiction by shopping for shoes weekly.
Although she has a passion to write, her family is
