A. M. Johnson doesn’t know how to write a story unless it’s going to sear itself onto your soul, crack open your heart, and live there until her next novel comes along to keep it company. Let There Be Light was no exception.
Royal and Camden’s romance is a poignant coming-of-age story that kept me oscillating between perpetual smiles and butterflies in my stomach. It was impossible not fall madly in love with each of them separately and as a couple. Add to that writing that is not only beautiful but also poetic, lyrical, and often breathtaking and you have a story that stays with far past ‘the end.’
Prepare to have your heart stolen by A. M. Johnson’s storytelling and exceptional writing that places you right along side wonderful characters and makes you feel every single emotion. Let There Be Light is an absolute must read novel. In my top 10 of 2018 and probably my second favorite M/M novel ever. Damn near perfection. All the stars.
