FOUR 🎩🎩🎩🎩 hats!
Jessica Peterson knows how to give us a swoony romance! I was up late wrapped in Eli and Olivia’s love story. Olivia feels stifled with her life and after being proposed to she asks her long time boyfriend for a break. She wants to see if she can make her dreams come true by writing a romance novel. Eli is struggling when one of his restaurants goes under. Being an amazing chef didn’t help his second restaurant and he’s not feeling so hot. A chance encounter between Eli and Olivia starts an amazing love story. Friendship to relationship with chemistry and heat.
Olivia is trying to figure out what she really wants. She’s pretty hard on herself. With the passion she discovers with Eli, she discovers herself as well. And discovers maybe she really can write a novel. Eli is exactly what the title says, a charmer. His personality is full of charm and cockiness. He knows he can cook and cook really good. He does slip into a bit of a co-dependent stage with Olivia to avoid the hurt of losing his restaurant, but he still keeps his charming sexiness throughout the book.
Southern Charmer is a sweet and sexy read, it’s also a read that shows two people finding themselves and healing each other. I adored Olivia and Eli and hated to see “The End”, but I am excited to see more of them in future books!!
