From the Barroness’s Diary lll: A Reverse Harem Romance by Cristiane Serruya

Length: 9 hrs, 25 mins
I’ve been trying to get away from one man, I didn’t think I’d end up with three.
I flee my abusive husband and travel to Italy to find Salvatore Di Luca, my long-lost love. But the moment I set foot in Sicily, my life takes an unexpected turn: I meet Enzo, a dominant, broken-hearted man, and Angelo, who thinks he is damaged for life.
It’s more than a trip. It’s a lifetime journey.
I couldn’t have imagined the surprise waiting for me at Salvatore’s house when he introduces me to his family. Before I even realize what is happening, I am entangled with Salvatore…and Enzo and Angelo.
Yet, I am still married and my past comes crashing down on us, threatening more than our happiness.
I really enjoyed this book. I’ve never read/listened to a book with so many POVs, four in this case, and yet it worked. The transitions were seamless and the story flowed very well. There was plenty of steam being a reverse harem story, but I liked that the emotions of the characters were center stage. It didn’t feel like an overly gratuitous sexual buffet at all. I loved the bond between Chloe, Salvatore, Enzo, and Angelo which made the book that much more enjoyable for me. Twists and turns, suspense, freaking scorching chemistry and so much more made this such a great listen. This is complete standalone, but I definitely want to go back and read previous books after this one.
Narration was performed by Victoria Mei. She’s a new to me narrator and I really enjoyed her perforce. Her pronunciation of foreign names was excellent and made the story feel authentic. I look forward to more audiobook from her. 4 Stars.
