A modern way of finding love. One deserted island of luxury. Two people. Three out cards. And a whole lot of possibilities.

Melinda takes the advice of her best friend, Chris. She signs up to a new dating service that pairs you statistically to the one you’re supposed to love. Finding it — love that is — using the more conventional methods, has not been a successful venture for Mindy, and with her biological clock ticking, she uses a more desperate method and takes the plunge into a possible happily ever after.

The thing is, when she boards the boat to a secret location, she doesn’t realise the man waiting for her is someone she’s previously met.
Chance encounters occur more frequently than we realise. Being blind to them is part of a bustling world. But, being faced with them can lead to a hilarious three weeks between two opposites who might just attract.

Julia’s 🎩🎩🎩🎩🎩 hat reiew:
That Guy is freaking hilariously awesome! I laughed so hard while reading this, I also swooned so hard! Melinda is hopeless around guys. She freezes up and makes a fool of herself when a hot guy says “Hi”. She will have you rolling on the floor, she is the queen of calamity. She also has some deep self image issues and her ever present bestie, Chris, tries to take her from her comfort zones. Embarrassingly so. After a few run ins with the sexy and sweet Arlie, she thinks she may have a chance with him. A TV reality game show comes calling and she forgets Arlie was suppose to call and embarks on a journey to vacation with a stranger for 3 weeks in paradise. Will it be love?

Belle Brooks had me so entranced with That Guy that I didn’t even realize my kindle was dying! I didn’t want to leave this story. It has so much sweetness and hilarity, with great friendships and relationships. It is an easy five star read. It will be one I’ll find myself picking up again and again just so I can get that happy high again! You will quickly be under Arlie and Melinda’s spell. Her crazy self with his confident self mesh well together and Arlie proves he’s so good for her!

“OMG this book was bloody hilarious; I laughed till I had to cross my legs and run to the loo (you’ll get this if you have kids like me)My other half thought I was losing the plot and kept giving me concerned glances with the strange noises that were coming from my corner of the lounge.” – Beckie Bookworm

“This book is every bit as entertaining as every other review is going to tell you, and I highly recommend this as a must read! You just have to, you won’t be sorry. 5 wet myself laughing Stars.” – Marnie

“‘THAT GUY’ gets a phenomenal 5* from me. I really cannot recommend this highly enough. I do know that if you are a fan of RomComs or Ms. Brooks .. this book needs to be read for the full effect.” – Trish Brown
