Emma f#cking Winchester.

She’s the little sister of my best friend. Well, ex best friend now…

She’s off limits like tempting forbidden fruit, and I’m the snake slithering through the grass.

She ignites a fire in me. One I can’t explain. One I sure as f#ck can’t control.

It’s raw and primal. She’s sweet, and I am not.

She’s pure, and I’m broken.

When I came back to the town and past I’d left behind ten years ago to make it big in the world of underground fighting – it was for one reason, and one reason only. To take care of my Grandma Rose, and I’ll do it by any means necessary. Even if it means doing the one thing I said I’d never do.

I never expected to see Emma again.

I never thought I’d want her the way I do.

I didn’t expect to peel back all her perfectly controlled layers or for her to see through mine.

Fate brings us together. Burning passion binds us. When the fire gets too hot, can love save us?

Dean was Emma’s older mother’s best friend when she was younger. Despite him being older and the town bad boy, the attraction was there. But after a bad falling out between the friends Dean left. He was out of sight, but not out of Emma’s heart. Years later Emma is all grown up and helping her brother with the family orchard when she runs into Dean. They quickly reignite the flame that was always flickered and they won’t let this second chance pass them by.

Oh. Em. Gee, Alyne Hart! Where have you been all my life? You know what? Who cares! I found you now. I absolutely loved this audiobook. This audiobook was amazing. Just the perfect blend of sizzle and romance mixed with drama and delicious suspense. I loved me some Dean. He’s broken, complicated, a fighter and has big ol’ walls put up, but man is he yummy. Cut a slice of that Dean pie, keep it and give me the rest! Never mind I want my slice back. Yeah, it’s that serious. Not only was the MC great, but the writing was fantastic. Alyne Hart evokes every single emotion with her words. When Dean and Emma ached so did I. My heart burst with feelings right along with them the entire time. The Space Between Us is a beautiful roller coaster of emotions that needs to be experienced.

Narration was performed by Logan McAllister. He’s a new to me narrator, but I really enjoyed his voice and performance. My only complaint was that the narration seemed a bit slow. But I set the speed to 1.25X speed and that fixed it for me and I was quickly lost in the story. This audiobook is totally credit worthy.
