What’s wrong with my butt?

She means those words to be directed toward the woman beside her, not him. But he can’t stop himself

from answering. Not when her ass is the most magnificent thing he’s seen in his life.

Apparently, answering her with ‘not a damn thing’ wasn’t what she was expecting.

She likely wasn’t expecting the baseball she took to the face at his next at bat, either.

All it takes is one ill-fated foul ball, and George Hoffman, Lumberjacks center fielder, falls head over

heels in love with Wrigley Field—and yes, that is her real name.

From that point forward, George and Wrigley fall into a fast whirlwind love that ends with them eloping

to Vegas. And he has his potty mouth, titty bar owning, pain in the ass grandmother to thank for it.

Not that he’s complaining or anything.

Who wouldn’t want to be married to a woman that made his heart race like he was in the final game of

the World Series?

The only problem is trying to convince her of that.

Oh my, my, my. Lani Lynn Vale nearly killed me with this book! I have been wanting Furious George’s story for so long now and I have to admit, this was worth the wait. Quit Your Pitchin’ is still full of Lani’s signature humor and wit but also seriously packing the feels. I swung from cracking up, to sobbing, to happy sighing so many times while I read Wrigley and George’s story. I probably looked like I was nuts, but holy crap did their story have me hooked!

Furious George was everything I dreamed he’d be and more. Sexy, sweet, my god is the man sweet, and funny. That said he occasionally still made me want to kick him in the way most men make women want to kick them at some point lol! George and Wrigley make a whole new definition when it comes to a whirlwind romance and I falling just as hard and fast as they did while reading.

Wrigley is seriously funny, sassy, and kind. Everything I love from the women Lani writes. Much like George though, I also occasionally wanted to kick her too. In that way your best friend does when you need it. These two had quite a few hills to climb even with how deep their love ran and left me crying like a baby a few times but I have to say, I freaking loved it. Ever tear was worth how amazing these two are!

Laaaaaaani you about killed me with this one. No, seriously I think my heart stopped. Why do you do this to us? George and Wrigley’s story is so much. So much sweetness, so much heartbreak, so much love, so much hate. I cried. I never cry in books. I freaking cried. Ugh. I must have been cutting an onion or some shit. I love LLV. I love Quit Your Pitchin’. I’m in that I love everything mood you get after one of her books. It’s a thing. I promise I’m not crazy. Ok, the book. The writing, as always, phenomenal. The characters truly grip at your heart strings. George is special to me. I share the curse of the red hair. He is so stinking awesome though, most red heads are.

Hot baseball player ✔

Red hair ✔

Sweet as Apple pie ✔

Looks amazing in baseball pants ✔

That fills my list of amazingness in a man. He’s mine. I claim him. We will make little red headed babies. Fine, Wrigley can share him cause she was a ball of sassy awesomeness too. Not much more I can say about the book, just that George will be fighting Trance in my imaginary book boyfriend world for my love.

I’ll leave it at this: Thing to know when you open a LLV book:

Handsome men ✔

Sassy women ✔

Heartbreak ✔

Heart gets put back together again ✔

Stellar writing and characters ✔

At this point of you haven’t read a LLV book I feel sorry for you. You are missing out on some of the most beautiful stories you’ll ever read.

I’m a married mother of three. My kids are all under 8, so I can assure you that they are a handful. I’ve been with my paramedic husband now for ten years, and we’ve produced three offspring that are nothing like us. I live in the greatest state in the world, Texas.
