You want some?

She snarls those words at him with barely concealed hostility the moment he arrives at her window to ask for her license and registration.

After a few choice words, he lets her go with not one ticket, but three.

Next time she should check the attitude at the door and realize that he’s a cop, and just doing his job.

Come get some.

Fast forward a week, and he’s still unable to think about anything else but her and her bad attitude—oh, and those sexy lips, angry eyes, and her promise to make his life hell.

Knowing he should stay away, he takes a step back and tries not to think about anything that has to do with those long legs, and that mouth that could be used for much better things than spewing venom.

Then she makes a mistake.

At an interview, she rattles off a random number to use as a reference for a job that she desperately needs, and that number just happens to be Johnny’s.

She’ll regret being so rude, and one day she’ll think twice when she decides to throw attitude toward a man like him.

Vowing to make her life hell, he decides to have a little fun.

Never get enough.

What he doesn’t expect is to fall for her.

The more Johnny learns about June, the deeper he digs his hole. Soon, he doesn’t know which way is up, and he’s just fine with that.

Over time, he learns that not everyone bothers to dig past her prickly demeanor and get to the woman that lives deeper.

When one too many citizens of Hostel, Texas tries to back her against the wall, he’s had enough.

After all, you don’t mess with what’s his.
FIVE 🎩🎩🎩🎩🎩hats from Britt!

Ok, so I know I’ve said this every time I read a new book in the Simple Man series but you can’t hold it against me. They just keep getting better! It’s really not my fault. At all. I can’t control the fact Lani writes with some sort of sorcery that creates amazing books every time. So, if you think about it the fact I’m going to say this again is entirely her fault. THIS IS MY FAVORITE BOOK! There. I said it. It’s true. I regret nothing. NOTHING! See, I was was quadruple the amount excited I normal am (which is A LOT, just sayin’) for this because my all time favorite Lani Lynn Vale book has always been Sebastian’s.

Obviously this being Johnny I had expectations. Very, very, high expectations. Like “Boy, you better live up to your daddy!” level ones. Lani did not disappoint. Sebastian who? Johnny is king now. I floved this! Johnny has grown into a man very much like his father. Strong and a bit hard, but having an amazing heart and loving his woman with every bit of it even when she’s dishing all the sass. The way he is with June, *dreamy sigh* there are not enough words for it. Just perfection. The gentle care mixed in with the ever present alpha bada*$ had me melting.

There couldn’t have been a better woman for him than June. Right down to her name, she was everything he needed and more. The life she lived and the things she endured from everyone around her only served to make her an even more amazing woman every time she stood strong and kept going. Epic love, hilarious moments, and the perfect bit of suspense to have you glued even more to the pages. Get You Some is phenomenal!

I’m a married mother of three. My kids are all under 5, so I can assure you that they are a handful. I’ve been with my paramedic husband now for ten years, and we’ve produced three offspring that are nothing like us. I live in the greatest state in the world, Texas.
