heat between us, I’m starting to mix up all my signs. But whether it’s real or
fake, there’s one thing I do know:
Hothead gives you all the feels!!! I’ll be honest, I wasn’t sure about this book the first 15%, but after that this book soared! I loved Evie. I loved Drew. I loved their enemies to lovers. I loved their heated glances. I loved their sexual tension. I just loved them! That sexual tension though. Had me fanning myself. After Evie’s fiancee leaves her she’s lost. Lost in grief and confused on what went wrong. A chance encounter with the “hothead” of baseball starts an unlikely arrangement. Pretend to be Drew’s girlfriend and then fiancee so he doesn’t get traded and she adds a hit to the ex. It’s hard to be around someone so much and living with them without developing some sort of feelings.
Evie is awesome! At first I was a little worried she’d be whiny, but she turned into this seriously sarcastic chick with a quick wit that keeps you laughing. Drew is the ultimate bad boy. He doesn’t like being vulnerable and refuses to trust anyone. What I love the most about these two is they help each other see themselves in a different light. Between all the craziness going on around them, they usually fight but the make up is so worth the fights.
Hothead is everything I love about sports romance, the romance is strong and the sport isn’t just in the background! Stella Rhys blew me away with this one and it will be headed to my “read again” shelf!
