New Release + Review: Hero by Lauren Rowe

Hero, an all-new sexy and emotional standalone romance by Lauren Rowe is Available NOW!

A standalone contemporary romance in the MORGAN BROTHERS SERIES from USA Today Bestselling Author Lauren Rowe. The story of firefighter Colby Morgan that proves heroes come in many forms . .

The first time I laid eyes on Lydia Decker, I couldn’t speak. Or breathe. Or string two coherent thoughts together.

And I don’t mean any of that figuratively.

I’m not talking about a guy being floored by the sight of a gorgeous woman—although, of course, Lydia is gorgeous beyond words.

No, when I first laid eyes on Lydia Decker—my physical therapist—I was lying flat on my back in the ICU, high as a kite on painkillers, breathing on a ventilator, my bones as broken and splintered as my spirit.

When I first laid eyes on Lydia Decker, she was a ray of light in the dark. Hope for the hopeless. A salve for my singed and battered soul.

She said she’d been assigned to fix me. That she was there to bring me back to life. She said helping me was her calling.

And then she touched me. Physically, emotionally, spiritually. She healed me.

And I fell in love.

But what I didn’t know . . . what I couldn’t possibly know . . . was that Lydia Decker needed fixing far more than I ever did.

FIVE 🎩🎩🎩🎩🎩 hats from Britt!

There are no words for how much I love this book. Packing one heck of an emotional punch I went through every single emotion while reading this. From full on sobbing to hysterically laughing, Lauren Rowe took me on the most incredible roller coaster with Hero. I’ve never fallen so fast for not just a couple, but an entire family the way I did while reading this. The entire Morgan clan is one you just want to stay wrapped up in forever!

Usually it’s the hero who steals the show for me, and not that Colby wasn’t absolutely incredible (he is), but this time Lydia was the one who made me fall in love with these characters. From unbearable tragedy, to an unwavering strength and a heart bigger than any I’ve ever seen she was amazing. She’s the kind of character you read and hope that you’d be the same kind of person she is in life. Colby is definitely a true Hero, not in the book sense (but again, he is lol), but in the man is a literal lifesaving Hero. How could I not love him?

Colby is a master of charm, and an unending fountain of love. The way he adored Lydia was *sigh* just perfect. More than once the pure sweetness between him and both Lydia and her children brought tears to my eyes. It was so beautiful. I loved even more than just how perfect they were together how very realistically these two came together. Yes, there were instant sparks and an immediate connection, but the true to life way both Lydia and Colby healed while building such an incredible relationship is what took this book from great to OMG READ THIS NOW!
