Carter has been living the high life and enjoying an easy ride thanks to his cushy trust fund. But his joy ride comes to a screeching halt when his dad pulls the plug on his carefree life and tells him he need to get his act together and has a position for him as an intern at RGC Advertising. There he learns he will be working under Alexa. She’s hardworking, driven, and doesn’t have time for Carter’s antics. But as time passes she comes realize that Carter is good at his job when he actually gives a damn and that there’s more to the annoying playboy. It’s a case of opposites attracting and sparks flying.
I really enjoyed this book. Alexa was an awesome character. She’s strong, determined and doesn’t let Carter get away with anything. Carter was someone I loved to hate. He’s a total douche canoe and at first I had trouble liking him. Luckily as he begins to mature and gain responsibility, much in thanks to Alexa, he also gained my affections. As a couple their tug-of-war relationship made for some awesome banter and sizzling sexual tension. By the end I was rooting for them to make it work.
The Inter is a fun, quick read with great humor, super hot sex scenes, and a couple you’ll want to root for. This was my first book by Ella King and I look forward to more from her. 4 Stars.
novella The Intern. She lives in the North West of England where pale skin is a
plenty and sunshine is a rarity. When not writing or plotting future books she
is glued to her kindle trying to keep up with her overflowing TBR. Her other
interests include climbing…off the sofa after a lengthy Netflix fix and eating
far more chocolate than any one person should ever consume. Oh and she’s a
typical British tea drinker, and no she doesn’t do bone china, in her case the
bigger the mug the better!
