Length: 10 hrs, 2 mins

Single Dad, Beckley Bridges, is sexy as hell.

No, really, he’s the hottest thing since the sun was created.

Honest to God, crack an egg on him and the thing will sizzle.

So what’s the problem?

He’s also a gigantic jerk.

I hate the bastard.

I try to avoid him at all costs.

But for some reason, everywhere I go he seems to show up.

Only the real issue is his daughter, English.

She’s an adorable quirky first-grader who’s the sweetest thing since iced tea.

And she’s one of my students but also the love of his life.

So I have to deal with him on a professional level.

It’s not easy.

On a scale of easy to hard, dealing with Beckley Bridges is like nails screeching across a blackboard.

But when English’s mother tries to gain custody after abandoning her on Beckley’s doorstep as an infant, he’ll do anything possible to keep her under his roof.

That’s how he ends up propositioning me.

And crazy as it sounds?

I find myself considering it.

Okay, so this book was kind of adorably perfect! I love a good single-parent romance and this was one of the great ones! A. M. Hargrove writes a story that tugs at all your heart strings and never lets them go.

I loved every single main character in this story. Beckley was the brooding asshole of my dreams! A sexy, young, single-dad who likes to talk dirty. Umm, yes please! I’ll take two, actually. Sheridan was equally fantastic. I love how much she adores English and how she falls in love with the daughter long before she does for the father. *insert lady swoon* And then we have English. Wow! I absolutely adore this little girl. She’s smart, precocious, and 100% adorable. She steals nearly every scene she’s in with her antics and the hilarious things she says. She had me in love and in stitches from the very beginning.

The chemistry between Sheridan and Beckley sizzles. Their attraction is undeniable and so strong, yet so frustrating at times, but made me root for them even more. The story is so well paced. We get a front row seat to the journey Sheridan and Beck’s relationship takes from parent and teacher to reluctant friends and finally to a couple. It’s definitely a slow burn, but it burns so, so good! I’d once again like to mention that this dad likes to talk dirty because, oh my gosh is it hot. Like, stupid hot and deserves to be said twice. *fans self*

This book has everything I love in this trope: a sexy single father who’s completely devoted to his daughter, an adorable little girl who steals everyone’s heart, including mine, and romance that was steamy, genuine, and full of heart. I laughed, I swooned, and I teared up with this story.

The narration blew me away! Erin Mallon is a narrating goddess! She narrates about two thirds of this book and I loved every minute of it. Is it weird to say I found her male voice incredibly yummy? Well I did so I’m going to say it anyhow. I seriously would not have had a problem with her narrating the whole book because she’s that great! But then came Jason Clarke’s narration and I quickly took that statement back! Together they brought these already fantastic characters to life and made them into audiobook perfection. All. The. Stars.
