I feel like a complete idiot for just now discovering this series! Calling this book good is a huge understatement. Rough and Real is freaking fantastic!!! First, it’s a complete standalone. As the last book in this series I was sure I’d be at least slightly lost, even with it being called a stand-alone, but nope, I wasn’t lost at all. Completely addicted and now needing to have every other book to feed my addiction, definitely. Second, it’s so rare to find a book about a couple that’s already married.
I loved how much such a simple detail could make a story that much better, that much more unique. I found myself as a wife and mother REALLY relating to Ivy. I knew exactly the feelings she was having because I think at some point every wife and mother has felt those in one way or another, and it made her and Camo so dang REAL. I found myself crying with them, getting mad both at and with them, and ultimately falling in love as they fell all over again.
Throw in that these two were off the charts HOT, the moments of drama left me gasping, and a sweet little surprise at the end it made for a book that I couldn’t put down. All the stars for you Hayley Faiman. All. The. Stars.
