Hey guys! I’m Julia, or Red from the blog, and it’s that time of year. My favorite time of year. The end! Now I get to tell you all about my favorite books from this year! Now the list will be short. Why you may ask? I’m a super picky reader, just ask Britt and Ari. Even if I loved a book when I read it, if it didn’t stay with me for longer than a few weeks it’s just that. A great book. Not a favorite. I’ll have a few different types on my favorites even though you know I prefer my paranormal/sci-fi/fantasy books! So here I start the list, the coveted list of my favorites!
All time favorite of the year (drumroll please):
Savage by L.A. Fiore ๐๐๐
This book hit me so hard. I had so much trouble reviewing it. I loved everything about Brochan and Lizzie and if you haven’t read it I hope you do. It will seriously hit you deep. In the soul. This was my first L.A. Fiore book and definitely won’t be my last. This book will stick with me for a long time.

More of my favorites from the year:
The Mercenary by Petra Landon
Petra showed us how amazing sci-fi could be with this book! It was such a great read and something I’ve reread since the first read! It’s completely different from what’s out there and I loved every second of it!

Mad Love by Shana Vanterpool & Crash Into Us by Shana Vanterpool
Shana is a new to me author and after reading Mad Love I fell in love with her! Her writing style is amazing and I haven’t read one from her that I didn’t love! She’s quickly put herself in my one-click buy author list!

Rise of the Sea Witch by Stacey Rourke
This story blew me away! One of my favorite Disney villains has always been Ursela and I loved the story Stacey weaved with her! This story will take you under the sea to see what evil she endured and made her like she is!

Veiled Embers by Jasmine Flowerday
I had to add this one! Me and my twelve year old both love this story! We are both anticipating the second to this series! This story is unique and original. You get swept away in this world very quickly and only come back because you have to.

Elemental Claim by Miranda Grant
This book barely squeezed in here since its a recent read. I loved it so much and can’t stop thinking about it so it needed to be added! Miranda Grant does the world of Myth so well! I was completely blown away with this book!

That pretty much sums up my list. I told you it’d be short. I do have one more I’d like to add though…
Favorite new to me author:
RJ Blain
I discovered RJ Blain with Playing With Fire. I had never laughed so hard in my entire life. Even now it’s a book I reread when I need a good laugh! Since Playing With Fire, I’ve read a lot of her titles. I’ve loved every single one! She is an autobuy author for me and I’m kicking myself for not finding her sooner!
