Jacob’s Ladder: Gabe by Katie Ashley is AVAILABLE NOW!

Jacobs Ladder GABE AMAZON

As the lead songwriter for Jacob’s Ladder, the last thing Gabe Renard needs is a debilitating case of writer’s block. After years of meaningless one night stands, he’s finding it hard to pen the love-filled ballads the label is requesting. In an effort to clear his mind, Gabe takes his jeep off-roading in the North Georgia Mountains. When a wrong-turn leads to him getting stuck more than just creatively, he’s forced to call for help. To his surprise, the “Ray” who has been sent by Hart Wreckers to his aid is actually “Rae”—a sexy-as-hell spitfire in a pair of tight-as-hell jeans. The combination of Rae’s sassy mouth and rocking body might be the inspiration Gabe needs. But for the first time since becoming a rock star, his advances have been shot down.

Reagan Hart has never been a fan of musicians. In fact, just the mention of one might cause her to throw a tire tool. Her disgust for them started when she was just eight and her mother ran off with a traveling country singer, and it only worsened when at seventeen, her rocker boyfriend knocked her up before blowing out of town. As a single mother taking care of her family’s collision business, Rae doesn’t have time for hook ups, much less a relationship. And if she did make time, a musician would be last on her list, even one as good-looking as Gabe Renard.

Can Gabe find the words to prove not only to Rae, but himself, that she’s the only one for him?

Holy hot, sweet, swoony, goodness! Gabe’s story was so amazing! Katie Ashley never fails to deliver a story that completely captivates me. Drummer and songwriter for Jacob’s Ladder, Gabe is stuck with a horrible case of writer’s block. Desperate to clear his head he takes off for the mountains and finds himself stuck. When the tow truck driver arrives to pull him out he gets the surprise of his life when “Ray” is actually the gorgeous and feisty Rae. A single mom running her family’s towing business, Rae is not impressed by Gabe’s rockstar ways when they first meet and quickly puts him in his place. When Gabe discovers the same woman who rejected him is the key to solving his writers block he has to come up with a way to convince her to help him. Getting her to help him soon becomes much more than just hanging out as time goes on the heat between these two eventually combusts.

I loved everything about this book! It was everything I love about romance all in one gorgeous package. Not to mention being a small town Georgia girl myself, the location was perfect. Gabe was the ultimate book boyfriend. When he didn’t have me giggling he had me melting. He was both adorably sweet and insanely hot all at once. The love and passion he had for music, his family, and experience Rae poured from the pages. Rae was equally awesome. She was strong and independent, while still being real and vulnerable at times. She guarded her heart with good reason, but Gabe pushed his way through with his charm and huge heart. This is a book that will completely sweep you off your feet and leaving you impatiently waiting for more in this series.
