memories and a guilty conscious have been holding her back from letting her be
with him.Owen Stevenson is unknowingly paying for the sins of his father. He doesn’t
understand why Zoë can’t look at him for more than a few seconds or why his
touch is unsettling at times. All he’s ever wanted was to love her, to protect
her, and to be hers, but it’s not so easy.
She pushes, he pulls.
She hurts, he loves.
Both are holding onto ghosts of their pasts and in order for them to peruse a
relationship they’ll have to let them go.
Briana Pacheco is a new to me author, and after reading this I’m sitting here thinking “HOW HAVE I NEVER READ HER BEFORE?!”. Let Her Go is a hidden gem of an epic love story that captures you from the beginning and pulls you through an emotional journey. This book is phenomenal! I devoured every page and didn’t put it down until the very end. A heartbreakingly beautiful story of best friends who are soulmates and the devastation they have to overcome, you’re going to need tissues for this one but I promise you it’s SO worth it!
Zoë and Owen have been inseparable since kindergarten, loving each other from the age of five, but Zoë has a secret that’s been eating her alive for years. Trying to save Owen from herself she always pushes him away from taking their relationship any further, but how do you stop true love?
These two completely gutted me. Their love is what every person dreams of. Soul deep, true, unshakable love. Despite the absolute horror that Zoë endured their love never died. I can’t recall the last book I read where I man loved someone with the level of utter devotion that Owen had. It was absolutely beautiful to read. His every action was made with Zoë’s happiness in mind even when he didn’t understand how much she needed that.
Zoë broke my heart so much. She was such a beautiful person inside and out. What she went through made my heart hurt for her. The strength she had to finally begin to heal was awe inspiring. Together they were one of the sweetest and most adorable couples I’ve ever read.
ME FALL, SOUNDS OF YESTERDAY, A SKY FULL OF SECRETS, and LET HER GO), a twin, a
dreamer, a tattoo lover, easily swooned by accents, and a little bit of an
extrovert but a whole lot of introvert. When she’s not reading, writing or
people watching, she can be found listening to music, perfecting resting bitch
face, or at Dunkin’ Donuts.
