Veiled Embers by Jasmine Flowerday

Living in the woods sounds like fun, but that wasn’t the case with Savannah and her mother. After an attack that left her home in flames, Savannah and Lanie have been in hiding for the last five years. With Lanie at the mercy of her visions, and rarely lucid, it has been left to Savannah to keep them from starving.

All it takes is one day for their lives to be turned completely upside-down. After using a little too much magic, Savannah accidentally brings Samuel, a mysterious boy, into their lives.

What will he discover about these Veiled Embers?

Red’s FIVE ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Star review

Get ready for a magical adventure with a strong female lead who kicks butt! I was so surprised to see this was this author’s first book! This was an amazing read, with flawless scenes and characters! Savannah is a strong, independent, young lady with some amazing powers. After her and her mom escape death they go into hiding. They both live off of what Savannah can steal from local town stores. They are both Kites, which are very powerful magic users. After running into a boy her age her adventure starts.
This book had my heart pumping and had me on the edge of my seat throughout. Everything about Savannah and Samuel had me begging for more. The world is completely original and completely awesome! So many different paranormal groups, each with the authors own spin on them. Read this! You won’t regret it! Get swept away in this wonderful world with me! I’m biting my nails for the next book already!
